On N.F.L. Thanksgiving Menu: Six-Second Ads

Fox continued to test 6-second ads during the World Series.

The ad played during a break in the action with the game being relegated to a small area on the side while the ad played.

Why is the NFL testing this out? One potential cause of falling ratings could be the overall length of NFL games (3+ hours).

Fox will replace one standard commercial break (2m, 20s) with nine 6-second ads that play during stoppages in play.
