By August 13, 2020November 15th, 2021No Comments

Disney+ subscribers:
1) Nov-19 – 10.0M
 Feb-20 – 28.6M
3) Apr-20 – 50.0M
May-20 – 54.5M
Aug-20 – 60.5M

Why this matters: Disney initially projected it would take 5 years to reach 60M subscribers.

Big question: Did releasing Hamilton to Disney+ have a positive impact?

Quick answer: Yes.  According to ANTENNA, Hamilton’s release drove a 641% increase in sign-ups over a similar period.

Hamilton’s weekend release is the largest driver of sign-ups for any SVOD service in 2020.
