Americans’ online news use is closing in on TV news use

How Americans get their news has changed dramatically over the past year.

% of U.S. adults who often get news by platform:
1) Television: 50% (↓7% YoY)
2) Online: 43% (↑5% YoY)

The shift is being led by 50–64 and 65+.
