Amazon ad sales top $2 billion, its fastest-growing segment

Big news #1: Amazon Prime Video is getting added to Comcast’s X1 platform. This should open up additional customers to the streaming video platform.

Big news #2: Fire TV stick was the top-selling item on Amazon Prime Day.

Keep in mind: Amazon’s ad revenue comes primarily from search/display ads. They have not scratched the surface yet on video.

Share of OTT ads delivered in April:
1) Roku — 83%
2) Other — 11%
3) Amazon Fire — 4%
4) Sony Playstation — 2%
