Netflix Was ‘Crowned’ at the Emmys

Big news: Streaming services dominated the Emmy awards led by The Crown and The Queen’s Gambit.

Emmy awards by network, according to Variety:
1) Netflix – 44
2) HBO/HBO Max – 19
3) Disney+ – 14
4) Apple TV+ – 10
5) NBC – 8

Wow: Netflix tied the record (CBS in 1974) for most Emmy awards in a single season (44).

1) The Crown (Netflix) – 11
2) The Queen’s Gambit (Netflix) – 11
3) Saturday Night Live (NBC) – 8
4) The Mandalorian (Disney+) – 7
5) Ted Lasso (Apple TV+) – 7

1) Streaming – 34 (65%)
2) Premium cable/streaming – 8 (15%)
3) Cable – 6 (12%)
